EXECUTIVE BOARD

Lora Amsberryaugier

Lora Amsberryaugier is the Associate Dean of Library and Information Services of the Earl K. Long Library at the University of New Orleans. She has been a faculty member since 2001. She began her career at the Library as the Head of Government Documents, followed by increasing responsibility for the Library’s technology and other leadership positions. Lora has served and continues to serve on multiple state and national organizations, including ALA, LLA, and the Louisiana Digital Consortium (LDC). ACRL, and CORE (formerly LLAMA), and has served as chair of several committees in these organizations. She currently serves as the 2020-2021 2nd Vice President for the Louisiana Library Association (LLA) and serves as the co-Chair of the ALA GODORT Technology Committee.

Jenny Mayer

Jenny is currently the Children's Services Coordinator for the St. Tammany Parish Library. She has previously been the Branch Manager and a Youth Services Librarian at the Mandeville Branch Library. Over the past several years, Jenny has been active in the Louisiana Library Association serving as the Public Section Vice Chair/Chair and the Social Media Committee Chair.

Zachary Stein

Zachary Stein is the Head of Special Collections at Edith Garland Dupré Library, University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Mr. Stein is responsible for implementing UL Lafayette’s first institutional repository, which launched in late 2018, and the University Libraries’ digital program. Other responsibilities include developing policies, soliciting and processing collections representing the Acadiana region, and performing outreach activities for the University and Acadiana communities.


Jessica Styons

Jessica Styons has had a lifetime love of libraries, remembering summer reading and Saturday movie matinees at her local library from the time she was 3 years old. She began working in libraries over 27 years ago when she became a Library Technician for the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system. Due to an almost obsessive love of reading, acquisition of knowledge and passion for helping others, it seemed predestined that she should become a librarian. Jessica is very passionate about reducing barriers to library use and increasing access to libraries. She believes libraries are absolutely fundamental for building strong communities, families, and individuals whether that’s in a physical library building or through community engagement.

Blair Stapleton

I am currently serving as the Assistant Dean of Public Services at ULL. I am also the current Chair of the Louisiana Library Association's Academic Section. I have been a member of the Southeastern Library Association since 2013 and attended the joint conference with Alabama in 2015. While being a member of SELA, I have served on the Public Relations and Marketing Committee, New Voices Reading Program and I am currently a Mentor as part of the Mentoring Program. I would love to be the LLA representative to SELA and look forward to representing LLA and SELA at the joint conference in 2021.

Shanna Clevenger

I have been a Librarian at Delgado Community College for 11 years. Throughout the years I have been the System Administrator, website admin, treasurer for the ACRL-La chapter, Membership and Communication Chair for COSUGI, Secretary for the LLA Academic Section & Chair of DCC Instructional Technology committee. I feel this experience will allow me to competently serve as the Vice Chair/Chair-Elect for the Academic Section.

I have worked as a full-time academic librarian at Nunez and, later, Delgado since 2006. I graduated with my M.L.I.S. from LSU in 2004. I enjoy teaching bibliographic instruction modules and making libguides.

Currently Assistant Director for Technical Services at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, since March 2018. Started career as a law librarian at the University of Florida Levin College of Law after receiving J.D. from UF in 2005 and M.L.I.S. from Florida State University in 2007.

Jennifer Creevy

I hold a Masters of Library & Information Science degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana Scholars' College. I am the Reference and Government Documents Librarian and Assistant Professor at University of Holy Cross. Previously, I was the Serials & Acquisitions Librarian at the Law Library of Louisiana and the Assistant Head of Cataloging at the New Orleans Public Library.

Tammy Chaffin

My name is Tammy Chaffin and I am a librarian at French Settlement High School in Livingston Parish. Our school has 400 students in grades seven through twelve. We are a rural community school with limited resources. I am diligent in providing information about the additional online resources available through our parish system. I love working with our students and encouraging them to find a book or reading materials to interest them, either from our school library or the parish library. Reading is an activity everyone can participate in. There is nothing better than a student returning to the library and telling me how much they enjoyed the book they picked up and read.

Kelsye Baudoin

I am an elementary school librarian in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. I have 7 years of experience in school libraries as well as one year of experience working in the archives of an academic library. I have a Bachelor of the Arts degree majoring in History with a minor in English as well as my school librarian certification. I also serve on the Louisiana Young Reader's Choice Award Committee for grades 3-5. I am interested in being a part of improving school library programs in my area and state and would like to do everything in my power to make positive changes happen.

Victoria Cienfuegos

Victoria Cienfuegos is a Circulation and Reference Clerk for Westside Regional Library, a branch within the Rapides Parish Library system. In addition to her circulation duties, Ms. Cienfuegos organizes the programming for the branch. She was a member at large for the LaSSAL Executive board during the 2019-2020 year and has served as LaSSAL Secretary for the 2020-2021 year. Ms. Cienfuegos is currently working on her MLS.

Ellen John

Ellen John is the branch manager for the Ponchatoula Branch Library in Tangipahoa Parish. Having worked in adult programming, as a reference librarian and before that in the field of public relations and marketing, she has a varied skill set, including management, technology instruction, outreach, programming, and community relations.

Interested in digital libraries, librarianship for underserved populations, AI in libraries, information retrieval, ebooks, e-audios, print books.

Morgan Sherlock

I am a Children's Librarian at the St. Tammany Parish Public Library, and an active member of the LLA Social Media Committee. My ultimate goal in public librarianship is to build and maintain the library as a community-first space that further empowers patrons and staff. The best part of my role is engaging with families both inside and outside of the library, even as we have had to adapt during the pandemic. I hope to not only foster a love of reading and the library among families, but also encourage support for everyone in our community. I hope to engage further in LLA to help innovate new public-oriented solutions to share at our own library spaces.



Sally Cooper Gill

Sally Cooper Gill currently works at the St. Tammany Parish Library. She grew up in St. Tammany, and graduated with her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoys serving the public and is committed to furthering the mission of public libraries.

Erin Ware

After working as a teacher and school librarian, Erin began her career as a health science librarian in January 2020. She works as the reference librarian at LSU Health Shreveport.  She loves working on systematic reviews and meta-analyses and finding new ways to expedite and improve searching and data collection and management for them. Erin is a member of the Louisiana Library Association, the Medical Library Association, the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association, and the Health Sciences Library Association of Louisiana. Erin currently serves on the Continuing Education committee for SCC-MLA, the Beatty Volunteer Service Award Jury for MLA, and on a contest-planning committee for MLA 2021. She formerly served on the MLA Librarians Without Borders/Elsevier Foundation/Research4Life Grants Jury. In her free time, she is the coach of a kindergarten soccer team and a  Little League volunteer.

Mary Cooper

My professional library experience began as a school librarian for 13 years in Bossier and Caddo Parishes. Relocating to Texas, I continued for 26 years as a librarian with Plano ISD. After retirement, I returned to Lincoln Parish and as a patron enjoyed many services of the public library. When given the opportunity, I have served on the Board of Control for 2 years. This experience has given me knowledge of the importance f strong libraries in multiple settings.
