GODORT Mission
The mission of LLA GODORT is:
- to promote the collection, organization, and use of federal, state, and local documents in Louisiana;
- to make government information in all formats accessible to the public and to ensure its continued availability in the future;
- to promote a high level of reference service to the public;
- to provide the government information community a forum for cooperation, discussion and exchange of ideas, regarding problems and news about government publications and information;
- to contribute to the continuing education and training of librarians working with government information;
- to provide a means for initiating and supporting programs and publications to increase availability, use, bibliographic control, and management of these documents.
